Our Story
Journeyman Tours began with a vision — to deepen faith and help people experience Scripture in ways that transform both heart and mind.
That vision came to life when Dr. Don Dodge and his wife, Rae Lynn, led their first tour to the Holy Land. They discovered the profound truth that while sermons and Bible studies can illuminate Scripture, nothing compares to the impact of standing in the places where the biblical stories unfolded.
Walking where Scripture happened moves the Bible from words on a page to vivid, living experiences. And when shared in community, it opens the door to rich dialogue, lasting relationships, and memories that will stay with you long after you return home.
The Journeyman Tours Experience
Journeyman Tours offers pastor-hosted and professionally guided trips to some of the most significant Christian sites in the world, including Israel, Greece, Italy, Germany, and a variety of River Cruises. These are all-inclusive experiences designed to be the trip of a lifetime.
Your tour price covers flights (unless opting for the Land Only price), site entrance fees, travel between sites, breakfast and dinner buffets, gratuities, and taxes. Typical expenses beyond this include lunches, souvenirs, or taxis if you choose to explore independently. Accommodations are in comfortable 4-star hotels, comparable to a Holiday Inn Express.
Each tour is hosted by Dr. Don Dodge and his wife, Rae Lynn. Together, they bring a unique dynamic. Don’s pastoral care and theological expertise create space for worship, reflection, and meaningful questions, while Rae Lynn’s warm hospitality and attention to detail ensure a welcoming, community-focused environment. Meet Don and Rae Lynn
Dr. Don Dodge has been pastoring for over 30 years and holds a Ph.D. in Theology and Apologetics from Rawlings School of Divinity. He has been hosting biblical tours for nearly 20 years. His passion for these experiences stems from the deep conviction that visiting the places where our faith was formed is one of the most powerful discipleship tools we have. Walking where Jesus walked and exploring the places where our faith spread to the ends of the earth brings clarity, understanding, and a connection to Scripture that can’t be found anywhere else.
Rae Lynn shares Don’s passion for creating meaningful and transformative experiences. Her warm hospitality, attention to detail, and heart for fostering community ensure that every traveler feels included and cared for. Whether organizing trip details, connecting with participants, or helping create space for worship and reflection, Rae Lynn plays an integral role in shaping each journey into a deeply personal and memorable experience.
After his very first tour, Don felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of what he saw. He worried that he would forget and that the experience wouldn’t last. Then, months later, he heard a sermon on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. The question came to mind: “I wonder what everyone else is imagining right now?” For Don, he was back on the hillside overlooking the Sea of Galilee. He could still see the natural amphitheater where Jesus spoke to thousands. Clarity was brought to the story in a way that was only possible by having visited.
Together, Don and Rae Lynn bring a unique dynamic to every tour. Whether Don is guiding a group through ancient ruins, leading a devotion overlooking the Sea of Galilee, or sharing a quiet moment of reflection at the Garden Tomb, Rae Lynn is fostering connection, ensuring smooth logistics, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Their shared heart is to help others encounter these sacred places so that they can better follow Jesus.
